Education, science and technology, and talents are the basic and strategic support for Chinese path to modernization. On November 23, 2024, Sci-Tech Driven Business and Excellent Sci-Tech Innovation Education Summit Forum was held in the lecture hall of Shanghai International School of Chief Technology Officer, East China Normal University. The annual theme of this forum is "Promoting the Integration of Education, Technology and Talents". Four senior management scholars and national talents are invited to give keynote speeches on related topics, and more than 60 science and technology innovation advanced training class students and MEM student representatives participate. The forum is chaired by Professor He Jiaxun, Executive Dean of Shanghai International School of Chief Technology Officer and Chinese Dean of Asia Europe Business School.
Professor Lei Jiajun from the China Enterprise Growth and Economic Security Research Center at Tsinghua University gave a keynote speech on "Science Driven Innovation and University Science and Technology Business Education". He pointed out that since the second and third industrial revolutions, the generation of new quality productivity has all originated from science driven innovation. In today's highly developed technology, innovation in science and technology is the source of new quality productivity, and there must be relay research and development, original innovation, and disruptive innovation; Innovation must be studied from the perspectives of engineering, management, economics, and ecology in order to solve practical problems. How to make enterprises become innovative entities? How to optimize the institutional mechanism and environment for innovation? A series of issues still require in-depth thinking.
Professor Yang Du, Business School of Renmin University delivered a keynote speech with the theme of "Education - Technology - Talent 'Iron Triangle'". He stated that we need to smooth the virtuous cycle of education, technology, and talent, deepen reforms in the economic and technological systems, and focus on breaking through the bottlenecks and bottlenecks that hinder the development of new quality productive forces. We need to integrate teaching, research, and application, and combine knowledge, action, and results. He introduced an innovation loop, where 0 to 1 is invention, 1 to N is replication, N to 1 is integration, and 1 to 0 is crossover. To break through the ecological vitality mechanism of the innovation loop, it requires a group of highly imaginative innovators, insightful prophets, highly skilled engineers, willing to take risks investors, and excellent entrepreneurs to establish an innovative culture and mechanism.
Professor Tang Guiyao, Vice Dean of the School of Management at Shandong University and a national level talent, gave a keynote speech on the topic of "Talent Leading the Integration of the 'Four Chains' and Cultivating and Developing New Quality Productivity". She pointed out that promoting the integrated development of the talent chain, education chain, industry chain, and innovation chain is an important measure to implement the "three in one" deployment of education, technology, and talent. To promote integration through precise introduction of talents, to promote integration through collaborative education between industry and education, to promote integration through efficient flow of talents, to promote integration through talent matching supply and demand, and to drive high-quality development through talent leadership. Improve the top-level design of the integration of the "four chains" and create a new force for high-quality development; Focus on key industrial areas and accurately attract and gather high-end industrial talents; Promote the deep integration of industry and education, and encourage schools and enterprises to jointly attract, cultivate and share talents; Building a high-energy fusion platform to assist in technological breakthroughs and achievement transformation; Ensure the supply of all factors and continuously optimize the integration of ecological environment level.
Professor Chen Zhijun from the School of Management at Shandong University gave a keynote speech on the topic of "Cultural Management and Organizational Construction". He analyzed the reasons why the construction of organizational culture is difficult to implement, including the lack of systematic sorting out of the "three outlooks" and excessive promotion. He pointed out that organizational management should "implement management and exercise power", adhere to the basic principles of management, and understand the principles of change, adapt to local, temporal, and individual conditions, and elevate management activities to an artistic realm. He pointed out that Drucker defined management as a practice, whose essence lies not in "knowledge" but in "action"; Its verification does not lie in logic, but in results; Its only authority is achievement.
Subsequently, a ceremony was held to appoint Professor Tang Guiyao, Vice Dean of the School of Management at Shandong University, and Executive Dean of the Shandong Talent Development Strategy Research Institute, as a visiting professor at the CTO School. Professor He Jiaxun presented Professor Tang Guiyao with an appointment certificate.

Professor He Jiaxun stated in his concluding speech that the college advocates the establishment of an interdisciplinary concept of "science and technology business", combining management with technological development, accelerating the innovation of collaborative allocation of production factors, and cultivating advanced scientific and technological innovation talents who understand both technology and management. Management is ubiquitous, and business is ubiquitous. Regardless of the industry, it is particularly important to have a deep understanding of business and change the traditional administrative oriented management logic. Our key business direction today is the strategic leading business supported by technology. Regardless of the professional background and job position, one must diligently study the laws and trends of the business itself and the development of high-tech industries.
