Chinese Academy of Sciences Bangkok Innovation Cooperation Center is a strategic alliance unit of the Shanghai International School of Chief Technology Officer (CTO School). Drawing on the resource advantages of the ECNU and Chinese Academy of Sciences in science and technology, talents and education, the two sides have established long-term, stable and extensive cooperation programs with senior technical talent training as the channel and long-term program tracking and support as the cooperation policy.
The Chinese Academy of Sciences Bangkok Innovation Cooperation Center (hereinafter referred to as the “Bangkok Center” for short) is a major deployment of Chinese Academy of Sciences towards the “Belt and Road” initiative and the main battlefield of national economy and the first overseas institution with the purpose of promoting the linkage innovation and the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological innovation achievements at home and abroad.
The Bangkok Center advances the enterprises of Chinese Academy of Sciences, research institutions and universities to go abroad and deeply integrate into ASEAN economies, promotes the application demonstration, transfer and transformation of domestic technological and industrial advantages and suitable technological achievements in Southeast Asia, drives technological innovation cooperation between the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Southeast Asian countries, strengthens the training of high-end technological talents, provides technological policy suggestions and support for regional economic development and industrial upgrading and makes contributions to the construction of the China-ASEAN innovation community.
In line with the “Belt and Road” Initiative, the Bangkok Center will focus on promoting major technological cooperation on people's livelihood based on R&D and of great exemplary significance for the main battlefield of national economy; keep close contact with embassies and consulates in Thailand and countries in Southeast Asia, actively cooperate with national diplomacy and take the initiative to undertake the extension work of technological cooperation of embassies; wholeheartedly provide “down-to-earth” services for enterprise users inside and outside the institute, and promote the implementation of major technology transfer and transformation projects in ASEAN countries; cultivate innovative and entrepreneurial talents friendly with China for countries and regions along the “Belt and Road”.
Since its establishment, the Bangkok Center has attracted high attention from all walks of life. It has actively established and developed exchanges and cooperation with government organizations and business institutions at home and abroad and built its central brand strength and enhanced its international influence through various scientific, technological and cultural exchange activities.
