On December 3, 2024, the Delegation of the ECNU-Shanghai International School of Chief Technology Officer (including He Jiaxun, Executive Dean of Shanghai International School of Chief Technology Officer,Wang Zhenghuan, Vice Dean of CTO School,Zhang Mingyue, Associate Professor,Wu Xiaobo, Office Director,and so on)to the Hainan Research Institute of East China Normal University for research, learning, and exchange. They also held a symposium with the institute to discuss strategic cooperation and implement the work deployment of the Shanghai International School of Chief Technology Officer. Li Zhibin, former vice president of East China Normal University and president of Hainan Research Institute, and Xu Ruoyu, vice president of Hainan Research Institute, received the visiting delegation.
On the morning of December 3rd, the delegation of Shanghai International School of Chief Technology Officer visited the Yazhou Bay Technology City （Industry Promotion Center）. This is the core area of the Science and Technology City, aimed at promoting technological innovation and industrial upgrading. Under the guidance, the delegation learned about how Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City attracts and cultivates high-tech enterprises, as well as how to promote the transformation and application of scientific research achievements.
Subsequently, led by Xu Ruoyu, Vice President of Hainan Research Institute, and relevant colleagues from the institute, the delegation visited the headquarters of Hainan Research Institute. Xu Ruoyu introduced that the Hainan Research Institute of East China Normal University is the first comprehensive local research institution of East China Normal University. The research team also visited the Biological Behavior Laboratory, Marine Ecology Laboratory, Marine Plastics and Microplastics Laboratory, Plankton Breeding Room, Field Equipment Storage Room, Marine Equipment Installation and Adjustment Room, etc. of Hainan Research Institute.
After the visit, the research team CTO School, together with Li Zhibin, Dean of Hainan Research Institute, and Xu Ruoyu, Vice Dean of Hainan Research Institute, participated in a symposium to fully exchange and communicate on the cooperation and co construction of MEM degree program courses and CTO executive education program cooperation. The two parties have reached a cooperation intention in three aspects: firstly, to establish the "Shanghai International Chief Technology Officer College Hainan Center" on the platform of East China Normal University Hainan Research Institute to comprehensively operate cooperative business; Secondly, organize and carry out a mobile classroom based on the scientific and technological innovation positioning of Hainan Research Institute, jointly offering MEM practical elective courses for the fields of life sciences and information technology, and partially opening up course quotas; Thirdly, in response to the demand for executive talent training in the development of the Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City industry in Sanya, the two institutes jointly launched a customized CTO executive education project. After this discussion, both parties have established a framework for cooperation and are advancing practical work.
