On August 26th, MEM 2023 Freshman Team Building & Outward-Bound Training was successfully carried out at Minhang Campus and Zizhu International Education Park. As the third module of the innovation and leadership Outward-Bound Training in the series of Freshman Orientation Activities, this activity, like the first two modules, reflects the underlying logic of innovation and the spirit of persistence. The students of the senior class, elite class 1, elite class 2, and elite class 3 broke through the thinking pattern and innovate team cooperation in the dual challenges of brain and physical strength. They have obtained an exciting and unparalleled campus exploration journey.
On the morning, everyone gathered at the Zizhu International Education Park. The students quickly familiarized themselves with new partners within 1 minute, breaking the ice and integrating. Through mixed grouping, students quickly form 8 groups to elect team leaders, wear team scarves, assemble team flags, design team slogans and POSEs. Under the scorching sun, the enthusiasm of the students is unstoppable, and they are eagerly embarking on a journey of campus exploration!
Each group gains team points through challenges within 90 minutes. The students joyfully explored the campus, checked in on various campus attractions, and worked together to complete various challenges such as witty Q&A, eye competition, word puzzles, and mind king.
This afternoon is the Magic-box Magic Audio section. Through the explanation of Training Coaches, the students learned and experienced a wooden box drum from Africa(called cajón), which has five drum surfaces with different sounds and can draw unique design patterns on the drum surface. Under the guidance of the coach and teacher, the students assembled and made their own wooden drum boxes, learned the hitting methods of wooden drum boxes, and drew unique drum surfaces for themselves and the team. Finally, by participating in the song grabbing battle, each class rehearsed a unique performance and showcased a brilliant wooden box drum dance performance in front of all the students.

Parent-child activities
While the students participated in the expansion, their children who came with them also participated in a series of exciting activities. Under the guidance of the coach, the children challenged games such as hoop throwing, pot throwing, shuttlecock kicking, and ball passing. While exercising their physical coordination skills, the children encouraged each other and imparted game skills. They received carefully prepared competition prizes and made friends side by side. This parent-child activity also aligns with CTO School's proposal of Next Generation Management Education to Address Major Challenges. Our next generation will continue to promote the spirit of innovation and collaboration, and continue to move forward!
