From September 7th to 8th, The fourth event of the Science and Technology Innovation Enterprise Practice Classroom series and activities for the MEM Students has been successfully held. Technology Innovation plays an important role in promoting social and economic development. It is not only an important way to improve productivity, reduce costs, and increase economic benefits, but also an important means to promote industrial transformation and upgrading, and improve international competitiveness. For 54 years, technology has been Hisense's most solid moat. As of June 2023, Hisense has applied for a total of 49000 patents domestically and internationally. Hisense Laser TV has applied for a total of 2230 patents domestically and internationally, and has granted 1075 patents domestically and internationally. It has established sufficient technological advantages and industrial resource integration capabilities in laser optical engines, lenses, light sources, and complete machines. In this event, relevant leaders and technical experts from the Human Resources and Marketing departments of Hisense Group were invited to lead more than 30 students to visit and exchange views at Hisense Building, Hisense Video Technology (Hisense TV) Factory, and Hisense Hitachi (Central Air Conditioning) Factory located in Qingdao, Shandong Province.
Face to Face Communication: Product Management Based on IPD
The first part of this event was an overall introduction by Sun Mingshuai, the recruitment director of the Human Resources Department of Hisense Group in China, to the development history, current scale, industrial layout of the group, enabling students to have a preliminary understanding of the basic situation of Hisense Group and its subsidiaries.
Li Jianchun, Senior Product Director of the Shining Business Unit of the Marketing Headquarters of Hisense Group in China, gave a detailed explanation of Hisense's IPD based product management.
He Jiaxun, Executive Dean of Shanghai International School of Chief Technology Officer , delivered a summary speech, emphasizing two valuable ideas for everyone to learn from: the first is holistic thinking, which involves cross departmental and cross functional collaboration of enterprises, and the integration of all processes and elements; The second is end-to-end user thinking, that is, from user needs to user satisfaction. The students were also greatly inspired by the concept and application of IPD, and combined with the actual situation of their industry and company, they had exchanges and discussions with the guests.
The students came to the Smart Exhibition Hall of Hisense Building to visit and learn. Hisense focuses on display and image processing technology as its core, and has a deep layout in the video industry ecosystem. It has a full industry chain from underlying technology, terminal devices, scene applications, cloud support, to content services. Through visits and explanations, students gained a deeper understanding of Hisense's existing industrial layout and core technologies from To C to To B. In particular, Hisense's self-developed ULED dynamic backlight zoning control technology, laser display technology, and various achievements in the field of chip technology, such as breakthroughs in 8K ultra high definition display image processing chips, TV SoC chips, and AI chips.
Deepening the Smart Factory: Striving Directly to the Frontline of Digital Transformation
On the second day of the activity, the students visited the Hisense Video Technology (Hisense TV) factory and the Hisense Hitachi (Central Air Conditioning) factory located in Huangdao District.
After the visit, Chen Chen, the Lean Technology Director of Hisense Video Technology Company, and Xu Yanjun, the Deputy General Manager of the Production Technology Department, had exchanges with classmates regarding the lean production of Hisense factory. Chen Chen introduced that Hisense pays particular attention to innovation in the process of promoting intelligence, not only benchmarking with industry technology, but also focusing on other cutting-edge technologies such as AI and robotics. Process innovation, lean production, and quality innovation are three parts that are on par. Afterwards, present students and guests engaged in more in-depth discussions on issues such as cost reduction and efficiency increase, talent cultivation, and digital transformation and upgrading.
During the two-day and one-night itinerary, the students expanded their knowledge through on-site visits and interactive exchanges, learned about the latest technological trends in relevant industries, and gained inspiration in their thinking methods. They gained a deeper understanding of how to integrate industrial resources through technological innovation, thereby promoting enterprise development, achieving excellence and long-term development, and achieving stability and progress.
Student feedback: Striving for excellence, innovating and seeking change
After the last visit to the Cadillac Digital Factory, I visited Hisense's Digital Factory again and deeply felt that intelligent manufacturing is the demand of the times and the current development direction of the manufacturing industry. When visiting the intelligent signage of Hisense factory, the teacher mentioned Hisense's current intelligent learning platform, which collects and analyzes the problems encountered during the factory production process, and then enters the solutions to these problems into the system. When an employee faces the same problem, the system will automatically push the optimal solution to the employee. This intelligent learning platform is exactly the project that my company currently wants to develop and optimize, and its learning mode provides me with new ideas.
