On June 15th, the 2024 MEM Freshman Team Building & Outward-Bound Training was successfully held at the Minhang Campus. As the second module of the "Standing in the New AI Era, aspiring to Innovative leadership " freshman outward-bound training in the freshman Orientation, this activity strengthened the mutual understanding among the freshmen in the 2024 CTO Advanced Class, CTO Elite Class and AI Innovation Engineering through a series of well-designed team cooperation and thinking challenge cultivated team spirit, and stimulated innovative leadership, opening a new chapter full of vitality for their graduate life.微信图片_20240618132606.jpg微信图片_20240618132545.jpg









At the beginning of the activity, after signing in with creative thumbprints, the students began a relaxed and enjoyable warm-up activity on the large lawn in front of the library. Hand in hand, form a circle, and move forward together with the heart connected. Through a series of ice breaking games, we quickly narrowed the distance between each other and laid a solid foundation for subsequent team cooperation. Subsequently, everyone formed the words "I Love CTO" and took a meaningful group photo.

Next, under the guidance of the coach, the students were divided into four small groups. Each group brainstormed and determined a unique team name and slogan, and together they drew a team flag representing the team spirit, demonstrating the team's creativity and cohesion.

The team has assembled and the frisbee team building has begun. This activity not only tested the coordination and reaction speed of the students, but also strengthened communication and cooperation among team members. In the challenges of Frisbee Nine Palaces and Target Cloth, students fully enjoy the joy brought by sports.

In the afternoon, the students switched to the indoor basketball court and began a new round of colorful expansion activities. In the "relay station transmission" section, students successfully completed the challenge of idiom transmission through non-verbal expressions such as painting and body language, greatly exercising the tacit understanding and comprehension abilities among team members.


Subsequently, a dry land curling challenge was launched. As a highly strategic team sport, dry land curling allows students to experience the joy of teamwork and competition. On the curling track, precise technology is one aspect, but more importantly, the team's tactical layout, strategic application, and the tacit cooperation and mutual support among teammates.

At the end of the activity, the students sat together and shared their experiences and insights from participating in this expansion activity. Everyone expressed that through this activity, not only did they deepen their understanding of team spirit, but they also recognized the important role of innovative thinking in problem-solving.
