On the afternoon of September 17th, the opening ceremony of the 13th Asia-Pacific Business School Desert Hiking (Desert Trek) Challenge(hereinafter referred to as “YaSha 13”) of “Lion Roar” Running and Hiking Student Club of the Shanghai International School of Chief Technology Officer, with the theme of “Passionate Autumn, Running Vigorously, was held at the Zhongbei Campus of East China Normal University. Xu Nan, a student of the 2023 CTO Advanced Class, shared her experience of crossing the vast Gobi Desert for three days and 90 kilometers. In this process, they faced the test of extreme environments, and it was their perseverance and unwavering spirit that enabled them to overcome the tough journey. The arduous journey of working together for three days has also strengthened their inclusive and unwavering team friendship. Ke Wenhao, the leader of the CTO-YaSha13 team, gave a detailed introduction to the history and basic situation of YaSha to the students, and sent a sincere invitation of joining in the “Lion Roar” Running&Hiking Club to all the MEM students.
Li Chenlong, coach of the team, gave a wonderful sharing on the training plan for the YaSha 13 competition. He emphasized that scientific way of training and professional guidance is essential to achieve good results in the YaSha. He explained the detailed training plan he had developed for the Sha 13 training camp, hoping that more students could join the training in YaSha and persist in the training. Li Chenlong's sharing provided valuable guidance and suggestions for the students. He emphasized the importance of scientific and technical training in long-distance endurance races and demonstrated to his team-mates how to conduct effective and systematic training through a detailed training plan. 5km Fun Run
At 17:30 in the afternoon, after the opening ceremony, the “tense and intense” 5km Fun Run kicked off. More than 30 runners began a fierce competition in the sports stadium of Zhongbei Campus, marking a successful conclusion to the opening ceremony and sounding the horn for the opening of YaSha13 training camp.
