In order to implement Shanghai's action guide on the national strategy of strengthening the country with talents, to promote the joint cultivation of scientific and technological innovative talents of schools and enterprises, and to improve regional economic development by combining education with production, Zhang Haiyan, deputy director of the Organization Department of Minhang District Party Committee and executive deputy director of the District Talent Office, together with two of his colleagues went to CTO school to investigate talent training, and met with Yu Bailang, deputy director of the Organization Department of the Party committee of East China Normal University, He Jiaxun, executive dean of CTO school, and other experts to have a in-depth discussion on how to build a talent training platform on the basis of the collaboration of government, school and enterprises. With the platform, the cultivation of scientific and innovative management talents in universities will be improvement, the regional high-end talent resources will be gathered and the regional social and economic development will be boosted.
At the meeting, He Jiaxun introduced the basic background and current work achievements of CTO school. Zhang Haiyan claimed that CTO school’s concept of combining technology and business to cultivate talents with multiple skills is forward-looking and innovative. CTO school’s cultivation of talents who understand both technology and management will perfectly meet the talent needs of science and innovation enterprises. Additionally, the three industrial orientations of CTO school’s talent cultivation are highly consistent with the “4+4” industrial positioning of Minhang District. It is anticipated that Minhang District government and CTO school will be able to cooperate closely in the construction of the college’s faculty and the joint talent cultivation platform. Besides, it is hoped that CTO school can be used as one of the bases of Minhang District’s Chunshen Talent Cultivation Plan for the cultivation of executives. Yu Bailang pointed out that CTO school has made achievements in talent training, and based on the agreement achieved between Minhang District and CTO school in the concept and orientation of scientific and innovative talent cultivation, it is hoped that through the guidance and support of Minhang District, CTO school’s talent training and technology transformation will be further improved, and the innovative talent training, as well as the economic construction of Minhang District will be advanced appreciably. In the future, the Organization Department of East China Normal University will actively coordinate and give full support to promote various cooperation between the two sides.
After discussion, the two sides reached cooperation intentions in innovative talent training, jointly holding talent forums, carrying out think-tank research projects, recommending production and education integration bases, recommending excellent scientific and technological innovation enterprise mentors, and carrying out joint party branch activities to promote school enterprise cooperation.
