On July 17th, the "MEM Technology-Innovation Enterprise Practical Classroom" series (17th session) was successfully held. More than ten engineering management master's students, led by Professor Li Xiang, doctoral supervisor, and degree supervisor of Shanghai International School of Chief Technology Officer , went to (Shanghai) AeroTech to learn about the company's research and manufacturing achievements in the field of electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles (eVTOL).

At the beginning of the event, Fu Changyin, the strategic director of Volant, led the students to visit the research and development base and conduct simulated aircraft driving. She introduced that the "low altitude economy" was first included in the government work report of this year, driving a new round of development opportunities for this strategic emerging industry. It has huge market demand in six major application scenarios, including air sightseeing, air logistics, urban travel, social governance, and short distance transportation.

Huang Xiaofei, partner and director of Volant, gave a presentation titled "Measuring the World with Technology - Volant Airlines' Understanding and Practice in Low altitude Economy", detailing Volant Airlines' development history and core concepts. He stated that the 'low altitude economy' has economic benefits, social benefits, and national defense value. He analyzed the market positioning, strategic layout, and technological advantages of Volant Airlines in the "low altitude economy" track, and combined his own practice to analyze the entrepreneurial and investment opportunities in the low altitude economy. For example, the eVTOL system has a long industrial chain, high pull ratio, and strong correlation. Using it to transform navigation is a great opportunity that China's transportation industry has never seen before.

Not long ago, Volant announced the successful completion of a 100 million yuan A++round of financing. This round of financing will continue to help promote the flight testing and experimentation of the VE25 validation aircraft, the research and manufacturing of the product aircraft AC101, the airworthiness certification of the VE25-100 model, and achieve commercialization as soon as possible. This is the fourth round of billion yuan financing completed by Volant since 2024, and Volant  has also become the eVTOL research and development enterprise in China with the most financing rounds in the first half of 2024.5.jpg6.jpg

During the Q&A session, students actively asked questions about the technological innovation, brand building, and market promotion of Volant Airlines. Huang Xiaofei provided careful answers to each question.

8.jpg9.jpgProfessor Li summarized that Volant Airlines has a strong technical team and rich industry experience behind it, which can combine advanced electric vertical takeoff and landing technology with market demand to promote the development of the "low altitude economy". He encourages his classmates to apply what they have learned to explore and think about how to combine technological innovation with management, and promote the sustained progress of the industry. This "MEM Practical Classroom " brought students further understanding of Volant Aviation and the entire "low altitude economy" industry, and also stimulated their in-depth thinking on topics such as technological innovation and industrial applications.
