As spring blossomed, the AEBS Chinese and Foreign Students' Association held its General Meeting on April 11. During the meeting, Counselor Fu Luyao led the core team of the Association in a comprehensive summary of the student activities in March and outlined the work plan for April.
The Learning Department organized a mobilization meeting for the CMAU competition in March, inviting instructors to share insights with experienced students to help them better prepare for the competition. In April, they will organize a one-day trip to Chongming. The preparatory work has been completed, and we hope that the outing will be enjoyable and provide Chinese and foreign students with a unique cultural experience through art activities.
The Department of Culture and Sports organized several events in March, including the Dean's Luncheon, Movie Night for International Women's Day on March 8, and a visit to the Shanghai Glass Museum, all of which were widely praised. However, some issues, such as insufficient publicity, were identified. To address this, the Department of Culture and Sports plans to extend the preparation cycle to improve the effectiveness of future publicity efforts.
In April, they will collaborate with the Learning Department to organize a one-day trip to Chongming, further enhancing the overall experience of the activities.
Club Development officially launched five new clubs in March, including BoardBrain Club, Student Investment Association, Volunteer Association, Career Planning Club, and Speech & Debate, and in April, they will be assisting these clubs with their first events and launching a new round of recruitment.
The Liaison Department's focus in April will be on organizing interview training and resume-building activities. Depending on the number of applicants, the activities may be adjusted to include 1v1 coaching or resume screening, with the possibility of inviting corporate HR representatives to participate in the coaching sessions. In the future, the Liaison Department also plans to contact the airbase for company visits in May, and prepare for the Enterprise Planning Competition in June, to ensure that at least one activity will be organized every month.
The New Media Department successfully completed the interviews and filming tasks in March and collaborated well with all departments. In April, they will continue managing the publicity and summaries for activities. To improve efficiency, the New Media Department has suggested using a form to manage tweets and reminded all departments to submit their content a week in advance for review.
During the meeting, the Bureau emphasized the importance of optimizing management and improving the efficiency of student work. To address the issue of poor communication, the latest developments will be shared promptly through the student WeChat group. The college suggests to refer to the successful experience of Shanghai Glass Museum activities next, and rationally plan the budget to organize more exciting activities for students.
