In September 2022, Shanghai International School of Chief Technology Officer and Institute of Fintech Research reached a cooperation intention in financial technology-oriented CTO talents training projects, such as the degree training project for chief technology officers, the annual education courses for financial technology executives, and the seminars for financial technology executives. This means that the Chief Technology Officer training at CTO School has been expanded to the field of financial technology.
On September 29, the seventh open MEM class of East China Normal University will be held. In this open class, we invited Professor Chem Qiwei, Dean of the Institute of Fintech Research of East China Normal University, and Mr. Li Yitao, Chief Technology Officer of the Institute of Fintech Research, to give a lecture on the topic of Financial Science and Technology Management: A New Major in the Giant Track, to share with us: What is Financial Science and Technology Management? Why do we need financial technology management? How to meet the uncertainty full of challenges and opportunities with certainty. This lecture is the first interpretation of Professor Chen Qiwei and Mr. Li Yitao in the field of financial technology CTO, and will also introduce nonacademic projects in the direction of financial technology. Professor Chen Qiwei served as the Dean of ECNU's Institute of Fintech Research, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the ECNU's Institute of Fintech Research and Application Global Competition, and the Chairman of the Asian Business Group.
As a famous international financial scientist and capital market expert, Professor Chen Qiwei's professional representative work On International Competition won the Sun Yefang Prize for Outstanding Works in Economics for the first time among young scholars in China. Since the beginning of the 1990s, he has been introducing the internationally accepted methods and practices of enterprise merger, acquisition, and reorganization to the Chinese market. He is one of the first scholar entrepreneurs who put academic theoretical knowledge into business practice. In recent years, Chairman Chen Qiwei has taken the lead in hosting the Yangtze River Delta Financial Technology Innovation and Application Global Competition, enabling mainstream financial transformation, which has been widely recognized by all sectors of society and has now become a major brand event in the financial technology field of the Yangtze River Delta.
Li Yitao
Chief Technology Officer of the ECNU's Institute of Fintech Research
Mr. Li Yitao graduated from Texas State University Arlington with a master's degree. He joined China Pacific Insurance Group in 2002 and was one of the first professionals to be introduced to the United States by the Group. From 2006 to 2017, Mr. Li also led Xinbao Software Co., Ltd. to become a model for domestic financial and technological enterprises to develop globally. In 2010, he cooperated with the CIRC and the International Insurance Data Model Standards Organization and was responsible for conducting industry-specific research nationwide and completed benchmarking research on data standardization and international standard systems for the entire insurance industry. The results were highly valued by the CIRC and ACORD; During this period, he also participated in the formulation of Data Exchange Specifications for bancassurance, life insurance, property insurance, and reinsurance business. Additionally, he has provided enterprise application systems and information technology services based on international data standards for the head office of ICBC and a dozen large insurance companies. During the five years since 2017, Mr. Li has served as the Chief Information Officer and General Manager of the System Planning Department of CPIC Allianz Health Insurance Co., Ltd., a joint venture between CPIC Group and Allianz Group, Germany, to formulate and implement the corporate IT business system and information service plan serving health insurance and the general health ecosystem, and manage the development and scientific research of IT projects and data governance teams.
