On December 9th, the second China Engineering Management Case Competition for Graduate Students was successfully held at Tsinghua University, with 58 teams from 30 universities including Tsinghua University, Peking University, and East China Normal University competing in the finals. The 2022 MEM students Zhang Xinyao (team leader), Chen Zhedi, Guo Liang, Qian Jinghong, and Jia Chuanling from the ECNU Shanghai International School of Chief Technology Officer jointly completed a case study on City QR-Code based on Analytical Hierarchy Process(Supervisor: Professor Cheng Guisun, Associate Professor at East China Normal University, Academic Mentor at Shanghai International School of Chief Technology Officer, and National Famous Management Case Development Expert.), which won the second prize in the competition. CTO School has achieved such excellent results in its first participation in this competition, which is also after our MEM students won the first prize in the 2023 (8th) National Higher Education Project Management Competition and International Project Management Competition, won all awards (including first, second, and third) in the 7th Shanghai Engineering Management Innovation Competition, and won the third prize in the China Postgraduate Fintech Innovation Competition, The school has launched an excellent education system to achieve high-quality development and new breakthroughs!
The China Engineering Management Case Competition for Graduate students is one of the theme events of the "China Postgraduate Innovation & Practice Competition". It is a national graduate competition mainly aimed at graduate students majoring in Engineering Management (MEM) and other related majors. The competition actively guides graduate students in MEM and other related fields, collects and introduces engineering management cases from social practice, uses scientific management tools to analyze dynamic data, extracts, summarizes, and shares production and development experiences in various engineering fields. This competition is jointly organized by Tsinghua University and Tianjin University. According to the announcement of the organizing committee of the competition, a total of 270 effective cases have been received from 133 graduate training units in this competition.
Through the competition,students have been aware of the practical needs of engineering management in enterprises, combining theoretical knowledge with practice, and gaining a more comprehensive understanding and cognition of what is learned in the classroom. At the same time, it also enhances the team management ability of students, effectively exerting the cohesion, creativity, and execution of the team during the preparation and competition process.
