On October 15, the second 2022 Science and Technology Business and Excellence Science and Innovation Education Summit Forum and East China Normal University Celebration MEM Teachers and Students Cloud Exchange Meeting, sponsored by East China Normal University and organized by Shanghai International School of Chief Technology Officer (hereinafter referred to as CTO School), Asia Europe Business School (hereinafter referred to as AEBS) and Joint Translational Science and Technology Research Institute, was successfully held online. Shi Guoyue, Assistant President and Professor of East China Normal University, and Chen Hongming, Deputy Director of Shanghai Minhang District Science and Technology Commission, addressed the forum. He Jiaxin, Executive Dean of CTO School, presided over the opening ceremony. Wang Zhenghuan, Deputy Dean of CTO School, presided over the forum. Wang Xuehua, Associate Professor of AEBS, presided over the academic symposium for young teachers, in which 6 senior professors and experts both at home and abroad were invited to give speeches and conduct in-depth dialogues and exchanges of ideas focusing on topics such as science and technology business education and interdisciplinary researches, technology transfer and innovation frontier. After the summit forum, the special academic conference for young teachers to celebrate the school anniversary was successfully held.
Leaders' speech affirming the construction of interdisciplinary science, technology, and business
At 8:30 a.m., the forum officially started. Professor Shi Guoyue, the assistant president of East China Normal University, delivered a speech. He proposed that as the main force of basic research and the source of major scientific and technological breakthroughs, universities have made important contributions to the construction of an innovative country by rapidly improving their innovation capabilities, continuously emerging major achievements, and deepening the reform of the system and mechanism. However, there are still problems pending solutions in the scientific and technological innovation of universities, including insufficient organizational systematic layout and insufficient support for major national strategic needs. Facing the national needs and future development, CTO School has developed the interdisciplinary construction of science and technology+ and business+, and established and implemented management education to meet major challenges. Later, Deputy Director Chen Hongming pointed out in his speech that CTO School had created the world's first-degree program aimed at training chief technology officers. The College was committed to realizing the social value of science and technology through the collaborative transformation of people and technology, adhering to the core values of innovation changes the world, and establishing the science and technology business discipline system.

Subsequently, the Summit Forum was held, in which six professors and experts from universities and enterprises delivered keynote speeches successively.
Professor Chen Jin, professor of the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University and director of the Technical Innovation Research Center of Tsinghua University, with the theme of science and technology business in the new development stage, explained the importance of scientific and technological innovation, the necessity of the transformation of the achievements of the MEM project combining production with learning, and the analysis of the future trend of science and technology business. Professor Sun Li of UMass Lowell gave a speech with the theme of Asymmetric Game of Frontier Innovation: Comparison of Sino US Transnational Venture Capital Ventures. In the venture capital and entrepreneurship literature, Professor Sun applied the perspective of organizational ecology to show how the differences in technological trajectory between China and the United States can be experienced through the asymmetric game of international venture capital. Li Ping, the Li Dak Sum chair professor from Nottingham University in Ningbo, interpreted the ingenious combination of innovation and dream goals of Chinese enterprises from the paradox of grassroots counterattack. He introduced the framework of grassroots counterattack on ingenuity, which takes the dream goal and the innovative means as two major elements. According to the iceberg theory, Ms. Ni Zheng, Chief Human Resources Officer/Managing Director of Honghui Fund, clarified that for investors, the founder's knowledge and professional skills are only part of the iceberg on the surface of the sea, while the part below the surface is more of an investor's consideration. Dr. Liu Yuliang, a distinguished practical professor from CTO School, delivered a speech on the topic of Current Situation and Technological Trends of Cosmetics Industry. He introduced the characteristics, development status, and technical development trends of the cosmetics industry from the perspective of the industry. He Jiaxun, professor of East China Normal University and executive dean of CTO School, delivered a keynote speech entitled Positioning and advantages of MEM of East China Normal University. He explained in detail the unique position of the Master of Engineering Management and the training advantages of CTO School from two aspects: advanced technology and profound management.
