Competition content
The competition consists of two parts: a theoretical knowledge competition and a software simulation competition.
Theoretical Knowledge Competition: The theoretical knowledge competition consists of a written test, in which contestants participate on an individual basis. The scope of project management knowledge involved in the competition questions is based on the International Project Manager Professional (IPMP) certification standard (ICB 4.0) issued by IPMA, focusing on the mastery of the contestants' theoretical knowledge of project management.
Software simulation competition: The software simulation competition involves teams participating in the competition. The competition is based on the Puhua project management experimental teaching platform. Through project management simulation, it focuses on the practical application skills and team collaboration ability of contestants' project management knowledge.
Competition form
1. The Higher Educational Project Management Competition and International Project Management Championship China Region Trials consist of qualification competitions, regional trials, and international championships. The China regional trials are scheduled to be held in Beijing from May 28 to June 3, 2023, in the form of a combination of online and offline.
2. Competition time
On May 28th, 2023, the competition (online):
9:00-12:00 am Software Simulation Competition,
14:00-17:00 pm Theoretical Knowledge Competition.
3. Award time
From May 29 to June 2, the organizing committee of the competition will evaluate the award;
4. Award Ceremony
On June 3rd, organize the competition award ceremony and teacher seminar (offline).
Entry Requirements
1. Participants: Students majoring in engineering management, project management, and civil engineering, software engineering, information engineering, mechanical engineering, and financial engineering from national undergraduate, vocational, and graduate schools can apply for the competition.
2. Team requirements: Each school participates in a team, with each team consisting of 4 contestants and 1-2 instructors (in-service teachers).
Award Settings
The individual award results shall be based on the theoretical knowledge competition results; The total score of the team award consists of the average score of the theoretical knowledge competition of four team players (30%) and the team software simulation competition score (70%).
As the China regional selection competition for the International Project Management Championship, the competition will communicate with the winning teams in turn based on the final score ranking (considering funding issues, some teams may give up participating in the international competition), and finally confirm to send a team as the only Chinese team to participate in the international finals of the International Project Management Championship.
Event Introduction
The University Project Management Competition is a national project management discipline innovation competition for university students organized and implemented by the Project Management Research Committee (PMRC) under the China Association for the Unification of Preferred Approach and Economic Mathematics, founded by Professor Hua Luogeng, It is also the China regional trials for the Project Management Championship. The purpose is to further promote the popularization and application of project management theories and practical achievements among young students in Chinese universities, and promote the professionalization, informatization, internationalization, and professionalization of project management in China. At the same time, it aims to create a platform for universities to carry out theoretical and practical teaching exchanges on project management, stimulate the enthusiasm of young students in learning project management, and promote the cultivation of young reserve talents in project management in China who have an international perspective, systematic and independent thinking as well as the courage of exploration and innovation.
The International Project Management Championship is a global project management innovation competition organized by the International Project Management Association (IPMA), the world's earliest and most influential international project management professional organization, targeting college students worldwide. It consists of qualification contests, regional trials, and international championships. The Higher Educational Project Management Competition serves as the China regional selection competition for the International Project Management Championship, and a representative team is sent to participate in the international finals of the International Project Management Championship as the only Chinese representative team.
