In the lecture on "Research and Application Prospects of Skin Health Effect Skincare Products", Professor Ye Xiyun from the School of Life Sciences at East China Normal University explained the basic knowledge of skin beauty, focusing on the different characteristics of neutral, oily, dry and mixed skin, as well as the causes and nursing methods of common skin problems such as spots, wrinkles, and acne. She also explained the basic knowledge related to cosmetics and the research progress in the field of skincare products. Finally, she introduced her laboratory's research and development ideas for effective skincare products to her classmates: "We believe that using molecular targets as the source to develop and screen cosmetic efficacy raw materials, and achieving synergistic effects of multiple targets through optimized combinations of raw materials, and conducting efficacy validation through cell, animal, and population experiments, is a very important research strategy to solve the current unclear efficacy and mechanism in cosmetics."

Professor He Xiao from the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering at East China Normal University is the head of the research and development team for the ChemGPT 1.0 large model in the field of chemistry. In the classroom of "Chemical Modeling and Technology Development", he led his classmates to explore the mysteries of molecular intelligence in the era of artificial intelligence from a scientific research perspective. He introduced the applications of machine learning, deep learning, and language modeling in the field of chemistry, and demonstrated the directions of his research group, such as molecular property prediction, drug small molecule design, antibody large molecule design, and organic reaction reverse synthesis route prediction.

In the era of "effective skincare", peptides are one of the popular functional ingredients that have attracted attention, especially peptide cosmetics, which are favored due to their low toxicity, high activity, permeability, and metabolism. Professor Jiang Xuefeng's lesson "Peptide Science in the Cosmetic Industry" from the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering at East China Normal University takes you closer to "peptide science", understanding the relevant research of different peptide raw materials, especially the research and application of synthetic peptides in the cosmetics industry, allowing students to have a deeper understanding of the forefront of knowledge and technology.
