On May 13th,Moving Forward to The Future and Making Appointment with MEM program！- MEM Open Class and Liwa Riverside Campus Experience Day, hosted by the Shanghai International School of Chief Technology Officer (CTO School), was successfully held at the Putuo Campus of East China Normal University. In this event, Zhu Yide, distinguished professor of practice at CTO School and director of Institute of Advanced Industrial Engineering, gave a lecture on the topic From LV to U2-The Making of Technology-The Road of High-end Fashion Technology. Peng Yuxin, director of the MEM Admissions Department and Project Operations Director of ICoETT (Innovation Center of Education, Technology and Talent) at CTO School, introduced the MEM program. More than 60 students participated in this event online or offline, with an animated conversation with the professor.
From the perspective of semiconductor technology and manufacturing process, Professor. Zhu Yide introduced the strategic layout of LVMH, a high-end fashion brand, in the field of semiconductor high-tech, and the innovative application of semiconductor manufacturing process. He emphasized that as the future leader of any industry, in addition to striving to do well in its core technology and business, enterprises also need to fully expand the applicability of their technology in various aspects of society, thereby extending the regenerative value of their products and enabling them to achieve sustainable development. Starting from years of experience in the semiconductor industry, Professor. Zhu proposed that technology companies must create a fundamentally diverse knowledge structure and possess a cross-disciplinary understanding of supply and demand in both vertical and horizontal directions in order to achieve effective technology or resource matching at all levels.
Professor. Zhu repeatedly emphasized the connection between creation and innovation in class. The emergence of integrated technologies or products across industries and fields is an inevitable trend. Only by fully learning and understanding the core technologies and knowledge involved in various fields can new innovation be possible. Because innovation is based on creation, if leaders do not have the accumulation of basic knowledge and creation, they will inevitably be unable to effectively achieve the creation of regenerative value. If there is no creation, innovation cannot be talked about. Therefore, innovation creation and creative innovation have a complementary and gradually iterative relationship. As a leader of high-tech enterprises, only by mastering (independent) original and core technologies can we endow the enterprise and technology with sustainable development, thereby driving effective socio-economic momentum.
Director. Peng Yuxin comprehensively introduced the enrollment policy of Master of Engineering Management (MEM) of East China Normal University from the aspects of educational innovation of MEM program, proram characteristics, application materials, application process, interview assessment, interview process, scholarship policy, online application guide, and portraits of MEM applicants. Through the introduction, the students further learned about the characteristics, positioning, courses, faculty, length of study, tuition fees, application conditions, and pre-selection interview process of the MEM program.
At the end of the event, the staff led the students to visit the beautiful Putuo campus, walking around every corner of the campus with laughter and joy, feeling the humanistic sentiment of the historic and elegant university.
